Introducing a programme for your next club, association, festival or other event ...... ‘An Evening with Phil Drane’ might best be described as a light-hearted two-hour cultural experience featuring the traditional and contemporary folksongs of Phil’s Lancashire and English Folk-Heritage. The performance also includes his own compositions including the award-winning Song for Jackie and the occasional surprise. Behind every song lies a story and the reason why it is included in the repertoire, and Phil weaves the whole thing together to create an experience not to be missed. An eclectic mix of beautifully arranged and presented songs featuring smooth vocals and silky guitar, mixed with a soupcon of chat and witty banter. ‘An evening with Phil Drane’ will be of interets to people of English and other British descent, enthusiastic Anglophiles and the culturally inquisitive – in fact anyone who enjoys good music, a good story and a tad of Northern English wit. ‘An evening with Phil Drane’ is a concert for everyone. “Your concert was brilliant Phil!! Beautiful songs, well sung and lovely guitar accompaniment. I was engrossed from start to finish and it all flew by too quickly. It was obvious that the audience loved your performance and feedback has been all positive” … Tricia Lee, Titirangi Folk Club, Auckland N.Z. "Sooooperb show on Saturday Phil. A brilliant evening of Englishness! The Debenham always wants the best and we certainly got the best! I can't think of another artist on the scene who could have held mostly non folkies in rapt attention for 2 and a half hours. Quality & craftsmanship!" ...
